Camera permission

Contrast Scout needs the camera only to sample physical colors. On iPhone or iPad go to Settings → Contrast Scout → Camera. You can still sample from a photo or the color picker without the camera.

Readings look off

Lighting, shadows, gloss, and white balance change camera readings. Hold the material in even light, fill the finder with the color, and treat the number as an estimate. Contrast Scout is not a safety, ADA, or WCAG certification.

Scout Unlock

Scout Unlock is a one-time $4.99 purchase for unlimited saved palettes and shareable text reports. It is not a subscription. If you already bought it, open More → Restore purchases with the same Apple ID.

Delete saved swatches

In Notebook, use the trash control on a swatch. Uninstalling the app removes local swatches stored on that device.

Use Scout → Try an example if a camera is unavailable. Compare navy label against cream thread, then open Simulate. Export is behind Scout Unlock; StoreKit testing uses product ID com.geeksdobyte.ContrastScout.unlock.
